Job Overview

Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Support Professional to join our team in a primary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to provide individualised support to students with complex learning and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role

The role involves providing one-on-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Behavioural Difficulties, and Non-verbal. As a key member of the educational team, you will assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.

You will work collaboratively with class teachers to adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs. Your role will also involve supporting students in developing social, communication, and life skills, as well as monitoring and recording student progress.

To be successful in this role, you will require patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs. A relevant qualification in special education or child development is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to students with complex learning and behavioural difficulties
  • Assist in the implementation of IEPs and support strategies
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to adapt lessons and activities
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and life skills
  • Monitor and record student progress
Benefits

This is a term-time only position, with no weekends required. If you are a driver, there is free, on-site secured parking available. You will also have access to a wide range of FREE Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.

We offer a competitive salary, with a range of £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we contribute to Public Transport Allowance contributions.
