**Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our Skills and Employment Unit's Strategy, Policy, and Relationships team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies that support the Mayor's vision for inclusive growth and his London Growth Plan.

The successful candidate will have experience in contributing to policy and strategy development within a political context, with a proven track record of using research and analysis to inform policy decisions. You will also possess excellent communication skills, able to inspire action and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including the Adult Skills Fund, which has supported over 1 million learners since the Mayor took over responsibility for adult skills funding in 2019.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Experience in contributing to policy and/or strategy development within a political context.
  • A successful track record in using research and analysis to inform policy and strategy development.
  • Experience in project management, monitoring, and reporting.
  • A successful track record in working with a range of stakeholders, building and managing relationships; and working in a complex organizational or political environment.

**Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary of £40,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience), plus benefits such as 30 days' annual leave, interest-free season ticket loan, and a career average pension scheme. We also offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely.
