Kent County Council is seeking a Family Hub Community Development Worker to join our team in Folkestone and Hythe District.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and expansion of services for children, young people, and families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:- Build and strengthen local Family Hub networks through collaboration with partners and community organizations.
- Encourage community engagement and co-design initiatives to develop and inform Family Hub services.
- Expand volunteer opportunities to empower parents, carers, and young people to lead and participate in peer-to-peer groups and other Family Hub activities.
We value skills that foster community empowerment, address inequalities, and encourage active participation. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be able to work effectively in a team and independently, and communicate effectively with children and their families.
The Community Development Worker role is a permanent, full-time position with hybrid working available. This post is considered customer-facing, and the Council has a statutory duty to ensure the post holder has a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
