About the Role

Kent County Council is seeking a skilled Community Development Worker to join its Family Hub team in Folkestone and Hythe District.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of services that support children, young people, and families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strengthen local Family Hub networks through collaboration with partners and community organisations.
  • Develop and implement community engagement initiatives to inform and develop Family Hub services.
  • Expand volunteer opportunities to empower parents, carers, and young people to lead and participate in peer-to-peer groups and activities.

Requirements

Applicants should possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, and excellent communication skills to engage with children and families.

This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid working available.

Kent County Council has a statutory duty to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job.
