Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Public Health Nurse to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing needs of housebound patients living in and around the areas of Ramsgate.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Community Public Health Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting patients to self-care and stay safe and well at home or in their chosen environment.
  • Providing valuable care to support people to manage their long-term conditions and maximise their independence.
  • Delivering wound management, palliative and end of life care, symptom control, and catheter care.
  • Administering injectable medication and taking blood.

Person Specification

We are looking for a registered healthcare professional with relevant experience and qualifications. Essential criteria include:

  • Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (1st Level Nurse/ NMC).
  • Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment.
  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS. Knowledge of up to date clinical practice.

Desirable criteria include a mentoring qualification equivalent.
