Join Our Team as a Mental Health Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Learning Support Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and mental wellbeing of our students.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualised support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans

Requirements:

  • Be nurturing, patient, and passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Have the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • Be able to build trust and rapport with students who may have experienced trauma
  • Be confident, enthusiastic, and dedicated to pupil development
  • Have a child-only DBS registered on the update service (required)

Location:

Due to the school's location, having your own transport is highly advantageous.

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. We offer all our registered candidates free child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
