We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Learning Support Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a leading SEN School in Horsham that supports primary and secondary boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Support pupils in achieving their academic and personal goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Child-only DBS registered on the update service (required)

Location:

Due to the school's location, having your own transport is highly advantageous.

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.
