Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our team as a SEN Learning Support Assistant at a leading SEN School in Horsham. The school supports primary and secondary boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced trauma, PTSD, and neglect.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupil wellbeing and behaviour management. Your ability to build trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma is essential. You will work closely with the teaching staff to provide continuity and dedication in a truly impactful role.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must be nurturing, patient, and passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Should have the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • Be able to build trust and rapport with students who may have experienced trauma
  • Be confident, enthusiastic, and dedicated to pupil development
  • Have a child-only DBS registered on the update service (required)

Due to the school's location, having your own transport is highly advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
