About the Role

The Web Product Owner is a key member of the marketing Centre of Excellence, responsible for delivering improved customer experiences on the website. This is a complex channel with significant omnichannel budget, and the successful candidate will need to manage significant complexity and work with an ever-changing environment, with multiple stakeholders across the business from digital, to sales to marketing in a global matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver world-class customer experiences on the web, including development and measurement.
  • Measure and monitor website performance over time, with clear KPIs set and diagnostics analyzed to drive greater engagement and conversion.
  • Manage the backlog and prioritize work to ensure timely delivery of website workstreams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver website workstreams, including digital services, Sales Force Effectiveness, and Business Units.
  • Communicate the plan to Business Units and work with them to deliver the plan.
  • Own the roadmap and planning from 2025 onwards.
  • Implement A/B testing methodologies and user testing to optimize web journeys and user experience.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and website best practice to ensure the company remains innovative and competitive.
  • Provide training and support to marketing and sales teams on the content management system and processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure seamless integration and functionality of requirements platforms with other systems.
  • Acknowledge the autonomous ownership of the website channel direction/strategy and the ability to juggle this with day-to-day operational management.
  • Manage complex demand processes and push back where required, based on business value.
Requirements
  • Strong product and digital skills, with experience in medium to large matrix organizations through periods of transformation.
  • Marketing background (essential).
  • Med Tech or Pharma/Life Sciences experience (highly desirable).
  • Ability to translate complex technical language for a range of different non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality experiences end to end.
  • Active encouragement of contributions from all those around them, recognizing the value of team members' input when solving problems.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in website development and management.
  • Experience in replatforming websites.
  • Experience working with digital/IT in agile environments.
  • Good understanding of business value related to features and functions.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.

Education and Qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, or similar.
  • Experience in website management, feature development, and replatforming within an organization.
  • Experience in delivering great customer experiences.
  • Experience in data and comfortable using data to drive action.

This position is not expected to have significant travel requirements outside of the UK.

Hybrid Working

This position is hybrid, with 1 day per week in the office driven by business requirements as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working.
