Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our Patient Transport Service team in East Yorkshire/Hull. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of non-emergency patients to and from appointments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of vehicle and equipment serviceability, cleanliness, and readiness for emergency situations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Provide a patient-focused service, ensuring a smooth and comfortable travel experience for passengers.
  • Drive allocated service vehicles, adhering to road traffic laws and prioritizing the safety of vehicle occupants and other road users.

Requirements
  • Level 2 entry requirement, e.g., 3 GCSEs grade A*-C or NVQ level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Full driving license with no more than 3 penalty points for new entrants or a maximum of 6 for existing employees.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, gained from experience dealing with customers or members of the public.
