About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at HF Holidays. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and service of our traditional British menu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and the implementation of health and safety protocols.
  • Develop and supervise our Chef, Kitchen Assistant, and Kitchen Porter staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Conduct stock takes and ordering from external suppliers to maintain efficient inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during mealtimes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience at supervisory level in a busy professional kitchen, with a mature approach to food preparation and business management.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, The Food Safety Act 1990, The Food and Hygiene Regulations, and The Fire Regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with fresh ingredients and creating traditional British cuisine.
