Job Opportunity: Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a 4-star hotel in a stunning location. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, stock control, and kitchen management
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Lead a medium-sized team of junior chefs and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes

Requirements:

  • A proven background working in fresh food-led kitchens, with experience in banqueting and events
  • Experience running a kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • A keen eye for seasonal produce and experience in menu planning and stock control
  • Means of transport due to semi-rural location
