Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious independent restaurant in Skipton. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our discerning customers.

About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of chefs, using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create innovative and delicious dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve exceptional service standards
  • Ensure efficient kitchen operations, including inventory management and food safety
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and culinary concepts
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for using local and seasonal ingredients
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
