About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Schoen Clinic Newbridge, a specialist eating disorder hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and daycare services to young people aged 8-18 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the highly specialist assessment of eating disorders in young people, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Implement therapeutic meal provision, ensuring the safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a patient-centred approach, involving families in planning and implementation of care.
  • Ensure awareness of safeguarding principles in all dealings with young people and their families.
Person Specification
  • RMN, and/or Registered Children's Nurse qualification.
  • Evidence of continued professional development, with skills in clinical risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act, as well as Safeguarding legislation and practice.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of setting standards and achieving a quality service, with an awareness and commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products.
