Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Treatment Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Surrey.
About the Role
This rewarding position will involve providing high-quality drug and alcohol services to individuals and their loved ones, promoting positive outcomes and supporting clients in achieving recovery.
Main Responsibilities
- SUPPORTING CLIENT RE-ENGAGEMENT INTO TREATMENT SERVICES: Assist clients in regaining access to treatment programs, fostering a supportive environment for sustained progress.
- ENHANCING POSITIVE OUTCOMES: Collaborate with colleagues to reduce unsuccessful discharges and increase successful outcomes for clients.
- DELIVERING EXCELLENT SERVICE USER ENGAGEMENT: Provide exceptional support to service users, family members, friends, and carers, facilitating meaningful connections and empowering them to achieve their goals.
- MANAGING A CASELOAD AND DELIVERING ASSESSMENTS AND INTERVENTIONS: Effectively manage caseloads, conduct thorough assessments, and deliver evidence-based interventions, recovery planning, and aftercare planning.
- COLLABORATING WITH MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS: Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across various teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
- SUPPORTING VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Engage volunteers, peer mentors, and service user representatives in i-access services, promoting community involvement and empowerment.
- CO-FACILITATING SMART RECOVERY GROUPS AND RECOVERY CAFÉ: Co-facilitate group sessions and café events, providing a safe space for individuals to share experiences, receive support, and connect with others.
The Service
i-access is an integrated service delivered in partnership between Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and Via, offering substance misuse treatment to individuals aged 18 and above within Surrey.
Location and Benefits
This role covers Surrey-wide, with an administrative base in Woking, and may require occasional travel to other i-access locations. As a Via employee, you can enjoy a range of benefits, including:
