Our Client is a leading organisation in the UK rail industry. They are undertaking one of the largest and most complex railway projects in Europe.

The successful candidate will assist the Traffic Manager in ensuring site traffic operations meet the required standards across multiple main sites with over 30 crossings and 15 bridge ways.

  • Receive and review contractor forecast and actual traffic flow information, as well as traffic management plans, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Area Traffic Managers and external consultants to ensure contractors accurately identify new significant adverse impacts and implement suitable mitigation measures.
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on contractor compliance with Environmental Minimum Requirements based on reviewed flow forecasts.
  • Analyse actual flow trends against Local Traffic Management Plan assumptions and identify potential issues.
  • Liaise with town planners and environmental specialists to provide data on noise and air quality.
  • Request deployment of the HS2 compliance team to verify contractor records as necessary.
  • Support community engagement efforts by managing correspondence and queries related to environmental effects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Traffic Management schemes and their impact on the environment.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including Traffic Management, Logistics, Area Project Management, Environment Team, Contractors, Community, and Highways Authorities.

This is a client-side contract role inside IR35.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
