About the Role:

This is a key position within City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, focusing on planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

As an Area Site Technician, you will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues at your allocated sites, with the potential to request specialist attendance as needed.

The primary purpose of this role is to perform technical repairs and routine maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

You will work efficiently to maintain high standards in completion times and costs while adhering to legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) within agreed timeframes and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk, assess job requirements, and execute repairs where necessary.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks to achieve set targets and response times.
  • Perform regular fire alarm system checks and maintenance.
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
  • Adhere to purchase order procedures.
  • Identify non-repairable equipment and advise management accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date compliance records.
  • Inform site managers of any issues that may impact site operations.
  • Carry out surveys and generate reports as required by management.
  • Perform minor installations and alterations within your technical capabilities.
  • Undertake general repairs and maintenance as assigned by management.
  • Attend training sessions to maintain job skills and adapt to technical advancements.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally and build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Participate in a 24/7 call-out rota.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
  • Comply with reasonable requests from management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSE level or equivalent, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or similar qualifications in electrical installation/maintenance.
  • Certification in City and Guilds 2382 18th edition.
  • Experience with three-phase electrics and its applications.
  • Able to repair and maintain various electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Demonstrated quality of work and efficiency.
  • Quick response to service requests and achievement of PPM schedules.
  • Maintenance of health and safety protocols.
  • Effective client and colleague relationships.
