Building Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford is seeking a skilled Building Facilities Technician to join its integrated facilities management team. The successful candidate will provide essential support and assistance to the existing facilities management team in matters relating to day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and servicing of the laboratory and building environment within the Department.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the building and equipment across the Chemistry estate are professionally maintained and serviced in a timely and efficient manner. This will involve working closely with the facilities management team to identify and address any maintenance or repair issues, as well as implementing proactive measures to prevent future problems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment and building systems. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
