Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well-known Public Sector organisation for a Customer Service Representative to start immediately on a temporary contract. This is an office-based role and NO remote work is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive telephone calls coming in on main council and ACCESS telephone lines
- Assist callers through the provision of information and advice about services
- Redirect internal and external calls to appropriate departmental extensions as required
- Receive, register and record details of enquiries accurately
- Issue leaflets and application forms on request from callers and help in completion of forms
- Maintain accurate information including, advisory notes and application forms on services and issue to enquirers
- Regularly review and update information held to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with accurately and efficiently
- Carry out daily and weekly programming of the ACCESSLine voicemail system
- Deal with customer enquiries via web chat
- Receive and deal with telephone debit/credit card transactions in respect of services provided
Requirements:
- Excellent customer care skills and experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Can work in high pressured environment
- Adaptable to change
- Can use initiative
- Excellent IT skills
- Good keyboard speed
- Experience of Microsoft packages
- Experience of dealing with the public
