About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at The Redcliffe Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and professional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Assist guests with menu selections, provide recommendations, and take orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Set up and maintain dining areas, ensuring tables are clean and properly set with utensils, glassware, and tableware.
  • Monitor and respond to guests' needs throughout their experience, including refilling drinks and clearing empty dishes.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of both guests and colleagues.
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with integrity and precision.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Support your team members during busy periods and special events.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent; culinary or hospitality certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a food and beverage role, preferably in a similar establishment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank/public holidays as required.
