At Legal & General, we're seeking a highly skilled Executive Events Director to lead our events team in the UK, Europe & Asia. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in event management, project leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description

The Executive Events Director will be responsible for developing and implementing our global events strategy, ensuring seamless execution of high-profile events across multiple regions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing cross-functional teams to deliver complex events, including venue selection, catering, audiovisuals, and logistics
  • Coordinating with senior stakeholders to define event objectives, messaging, and attendee lists
  • Developing and managing event budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to create engaging content and promotional materials
  • Evaluating event success through metrics such as attendance, engagement, and ROI

We're looking for a dynamic leader who can build strong relationships with internal and external partners, drive innovation, and ensure exceptional event experiences for our attendees. Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in event management, preferably in a similar industry or field
  • Degree-educated, with a focus on hospitality, business, or a related field
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2) and/or relevant training in event planning, marketing, or communications
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to procure economies of scale
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with event software packages, including Cvent, Pardot, ON24, and Sharepoint
