About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supportability Engineer to join our Requirements Planning Team at our Babcock Technology Centre site. As a Supportability Engineer, you will play a critical role in facilitating technical support and oversight across multiple work packages and engineering disciplines for the maintenance of naval nuclear submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a submarine safe back to sea
  • Provide customer liaison support, both internal and external
  • Manage change throughout the delivery of work, ensuring compliance with processes and engineering documentation
Requirements
  • Experience working within an engineering environment, with a strong understanding of engineering documentation and processes
  • Diligent and methodical, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently with a flexible attitude
  • Minimum HNC / BTEC (Level 5) in a relevant STEM discipline or with demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering field
  • Having achieved incorporated Engineer (IENG) or working towards registration with an appropriate engineering institution would also be advantageous
