Join Our Team as a Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Design Engineer to join our team at The Engineer. As a Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex weapons systems for the UK and partner nation Armed Forces.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, developing innovative solutions to real-world problems. You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with engineers, physicists, and mathematicians to design and develop complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex weapons systems, including missile and weapon systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop requirements and functional architectures
  • Conduct trade space studies and analyze performance
  • Conduct verification and validation through trials and lab tests

Requirements:

  • Currently studying towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, Maths, Technology, Computing or General Science discipline
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
