Job Title: Software Product Support Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced software engineer to lead our small support team in maintaining our in-service missile-system middleware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software engineers in debugging and engineering investigation of complex software issues.
  • Collaborate with customers to discuss solutions and provide technical support.
  • Configure and maintain Linux Operating Systems (Redhat and/or Ubuntu) including Kernel configuration and testing.
  • Develop software for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and work with target system hardware.
  • Participate in the development of software engineering skills through on-the-job training or formal training.

Requirements:

  • Experience with C or C++ (at least one of these is essential), Ada, and/or JavaScript, shell scripting languages with a solid background in software engineering.
  • Some team leading experience would be beneficial, but this would primarily be a technical role while also supporting the Software Project Leader with management activities.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Linux OSs (Redhat and/or Ubuntu) including Kernel configuration and Kernel test.
  • A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems.
