Job Description

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in a countywide role.

This position involves providing urgent mental health assessments and home treatment for individuals referred and assessed as requiring our services. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving the team's objectives, monitoring and evaluating workloads through effective clinical leadership.

The post requires flexible working patterns over a 37-hour period, with the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To offer urgent mental health assessments and home treatment for those referred and assessed as requiring our services
  • Contribute to achieving the team's objectives, monitoring and evaluating workloads through effective clinical leadership
  • Provide urgent assessment/intervention for adult mental health service users out of core hours
  • Manage and develop staff within the team

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse/Occupational Therapist/Social Work qualification

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Post-qualification specialist mental health training

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a community setting
  • Leadership experience in a mental health setting
  • Experience of developing and delivering teaching programs
  • Experience of managing and training staff

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
