Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Site Operative to join our team at Stonbury, a leading national company supplying specialist services to the water industry and private clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Store, handle, use and dispose of materials and waste in the correct manner.
  • Perform physical tasks such as asset clearance, vegetation management, and countryside management.
  • Operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, including wearing full PPE at all times.
  • Follow the Company Safety Handbook and all other safety instructions.
  • Work in and around water, including rivers and other watercourses.

Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Assist with site preparation, including unloading and storing materials.
    • Store and handle materials and waste correctly.
    • Perform physical tasks, including asset clearance and vegetation management.
    • Operate heavy machinery with CPCS training.
    • Maintain a safe working environment.
    • Follow safety instructions.
    • Hold a full UK driving license.
    • Be confident working in and around water.
  • Desirable:
    • Environmental construction experience.
    • Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
    • Certificate in Manual Handling.
