Lead General Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical governance, development, and leadership to our healthcare professionals.
About the RoleThis is a part-time role working 15 hours per week, with a salary up to £135,000 FTE per annum, depending on experience. You will be responsible for providing primary care to patients within GP clinics, as well as providing clinical oversight of patients on the Care & Separation Unit (CSU).
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care to patients within GP clinics, clinically assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients.
- Provide clinical oversight of patients on the CSU.
- Support with advance care planning, clinical case reviews, safer prescribing decisions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Provide a highly specialist resource of knowledge and skills to the healthcare team.
- Be actively involved in clinical governance and effectiveness of activities.

- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal.
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice.
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications.
- Evidence of up to date knowledge and skills.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships.
- Ability to line manage clinicians and support with clinical supervision.
