We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison in Staffordshire. As a General Practitioner in this role, you will be part of a well-staffed multi-disciplinary team, working closely with another GP and Lead GP on site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering first-class healthcare to a diverse group of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality healthcare to patients with complex and long-term conditions
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis, making timely decisions regarding future management
- Work closely with the healthcare team to provide a highly specialist resource to patients
- Contribute to clinical governance and effectiveness activities

Requirements:
- MBChB or MBBS qualification
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
