The Role of a Merchant Branch Manager

As a Merchant Branch Manager at HSS Hire Ireland, you'll be responsible for establishing strong connections with our Partnering Builder's Merchant, autonomously managing our counter. With a diverse range of top-tier products and equipment across all building service sectors, we ensure our customers receive the hire solutions they need, precisely when they need them.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead with Confidence: Independently manage our counter within our partnering Builder's Merchant.
  2. Elevate Customer Experience: Provide expert assistance tailored to our customers' hire needs, while creatively enhancing their experience through upselling and cross-selling.
  3. Cultivate Loyalty: Forge strong connections with customers, ensuring they return time and time again.
  4. Achieve Excellence: Drive key sales initiatives and strategies to exceed sales and revenue targets.
  5. Innovate Continuously: Keep our approach fresh and forward-thinking, exploring new avenues for improvement and growth.

Requirements:

  1. Customer-Centric Dedication: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, always ready to provide effective solutions and support.
  2. Proven Performance: Demonstrate a track record of consistently surpassing performance targets and KPIs, delivering tangible results.
  3. Positive and Proactive Approach: Approach every task with optimism and creativity, find solutions for challenges.
  4. Passion for Progress: Fuel your journey with a genuine thirst for continuous learning and expanding your expertise in product knowledge.
  5. Industry Insight: Previous experience in Tool Hire, Construction, or related fields preferred but not essential.
  6. Driving Licence: Full UK driving license.

Working Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 5:30pm
  • Saturday Morning: 8:00am to 1:00pm (Every Saturday; one full day off during the week for every two Saturdays worked)
  • Sunday: Closed
