We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team as a Renal Research Nurse Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work with rare kidney disease data and contribute to improving the quality and completeness of the data held in the Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR).
Key Responsibilities- Work with key stakeholders to build an understanding of the relevant rare disease datasets held in the RaDaR registry and the C3G and IC-MPGN study.
- Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders in each assigned Centre, liaising with key contacts to develop an agreed plan for relevant medical records and biopsy reports to be accessed.
- Conduct audits of the data, for relevant rare disease groups in each assigned Centre, to establish data gaps and inaccuracies.
- Conduct on-site visits at relevant Centres, liaising with key contacts to identify priority data items on which to focus enrichment activities.
- Liaise with UK Renal Registry contacts to access data completeness reports and updates, and guidance on where to find the data items.
- Consult data reports and local records, cross-referencing against data held in the RaDaR registry.
- Manually add, transcribe, and enrich the data where there are inaccuracies or gaps in completeness.
- Conduct subsequent audits to establish and ensure improvements in data quality.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the senior project manager, Rare Disease Groups, and to RaDaR Chairs.
We are looking for someone with a flexible and highly motivated attitude who is able to use their initiative and be innovative. You need to have an interest and understanding of data and renal terminology. You must have proven IT skills and be competent in data management. This role requires the ability to work autonomously, prioritize a workload, and deliver to deadlines.
Working PatternThis is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with some UK travel and overnight stays required.
