About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate registered nurse to join our Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) Team as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop specialist skills and knowledge in renal care, working closely with a small team to provide a high-quality nursing service across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritise workload and review patients across various clinical areas, either independently or alongside the Band 7.
  • Run and organise an AKI out-patient clinic for patients identified during admission as needing further advice and clinical management following discharge.
  • Participate in clinical audit, local and regional quality improvements programmes, evaluate research, and present findings to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to teaching and education, providing informal and formal education sessions to healthcare professionals across the Trust.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Working Pattern

Full-time hours, with flexibility to negotiate working times between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
