Yeovil, Somerset, United Kingdom Hunter AHP Resourcing Full time
Family Safeguarding Social Worker Wanted for 12-Month Fixed Period

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding South Somerset team. Our team is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people and families in Somerset. We have successfully embedded the Family Safeguarding model, working alongside adult-focussed practitioners to access intervention and advice in specialist areas. This includes substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health, to inform assessments and plans. You will also have access to expertise in child exploitation from the Wider Safeguarding Team. Manageable caseloads will allow you to be innovative and creative in your work, supporting direct work with children and hearing their voice. You will work with parents, the wider family network, and the whole system in a strengths-based way to support change. With permanent Team Managers, Consultant Social Workers, and an established senior leadership team, you will be well-supported with regular and reflective supervision. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with experience working with children and families in social work. We offer flexible working arrangements, good technology, and a friendly, supportive learning culture. We also provide on-site parking, CPD with a focus on systemic and relationship-based practice, team and service away days, and a variety of wellbeing services to support a healthy work-life balance. You will need to hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle as travel is required. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a Social Working role, a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and the ability to work across multiple sites. We offer bi-weekly payments, marketing support, and access to exclusive events and discounted CPD. We are part of the Hunter Gatherer Mental Health network, one of the UK's leading specialist Mental Health recruitment agencies.
