About the Role

VickerStock is seeking a highly skilled QHSE Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, health, and safety across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Internal Audits and Site Inspections: Perform regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of compliance checks, audits, and site inspections, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Induction and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive QHSE induction programs for employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate and conduct contractor inductions, gather and evaluate necessary documentation, and maintain precise records of contractor activities.
  • Accident Investigation and Reporting: Participate in the investigation and reporting of accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented to prevent future incidents.
  • QHSE Policy Development and Review: Assist in the review and update of current QHSE policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with line managers to enhance their safety responsibilities for their teams, driving initiatives to continually improve the ISO Management Systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience: In a similar role, with a strong understanding of QHSE regulations and standards.
  • NEBOSH Certification: A recognized certification in occupational health and safety.
  • ISO Internal Auditor: Experience in conducting internal audits and maintaining ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Relevant QHSE Knowledge: A strong understanding of relevant QHSE regulations and standards, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Member of IOSH: A membership with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Understanding of BRC Global Standards: Familiarity with BRC Global Standards and their application in a QHSE context.
  • QHSE Management Systems: Experience in managing QHSE management systems and procedures.
  • ISO 28000: Familiarity with ISO 28000 and its application in a QHSE context.
