Our Client in **Ballynure **are seeking a **Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental officer** who will report into the Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager
The Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental officer reporting to the QSHE Manager this role supports the Health, Safety Quality and Environmental standards across the Group. You will liaise with directors, managers and staff providing an advisory service to ensure compliance to all. The successful applicant will be self-motivated with the ability to identify new opportunities, have the ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. They will be experienced in QSHE management systems and procedures with excellent analytical, report writing and presentation skills.
**Pay Rate**: £32,000 - £35,000 Per Annum (Dependent on Experience)
**Working Hours**:Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5pm
**Job Type**: Full Time, Permanent
**Job Criteria**:
**Essential**:
- Experience working to ISO standards
- Hold NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, or be actively working towards or willing to work towards achievement of the qualification.
- 2 years’ experience of working within a similar role.
**Desirable**:
- Knowledge of BRC Global Standards
- Previous experience in QSHE Management systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of current QSHE legislation.
**Job Duties**:
- Carrying out Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental (QSHE) internal audits and site inspections across the Group’s locations.
- Carrying out checks and updating records to monitor compliance on a regular basis.
- Obtaining, reviewing and evaluating necessary documentation related to sub-contractors.
- Organising and delivering employee induction.
- Obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation from contractors, delivering contractors’ induction and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with the provision of QSHE and Product Safety awareness programs to staff through various campaigns.
- Responding to employees’ queries or concerns about potential safety, environmental and health issues and discuss suggestions for improvements.
- Participating in the investigating of accidents and near misses.
- Gathering data and completing all aspects of QSHE administration tasks ensuring records are updated.
- Producing and updating appropriate communication material including signage and posters.
- Participating in meetings and taking minutes.
- Assisting in the review of current QSHE policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
- Travelling to Group’s locations and customer sites in GB & Ireland as required.
