**Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator**

**Department: Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental**

**Responsible to: Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager**

**Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 17.00**

**Location: Based in Ballynure, with travel required between various depots**

**Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)**

**Role overview**:
The Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator will carry out the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the buildings and grounds of the various depots. They will liaise with contractors to schedule and coordinate essential services such as external cleaning, weed management, buildings inspections and preventative maintenance.

**Main responsibilities**:
Carry out basic repairs to buildings, external cleaning, weed management and preventative maintenance.

Schedule and supervise skilled repair work and refurbishments.

Oversee and ensure that any planned preventative maintenance programmes are carried out effectively, in line with manufacturers’ guidelines and comply with company and legal requirements.

Arrange works with contractors organising planned and reactive support as required.

Proactively participate in fault-finding and problem-solving activities to identify repairs required.

Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.

Adopt a flexible approach to working as part of a team.

Participate as required on the planning and installation of new projects.

Manage the company portal of repairs and maintenance schedules for depot facilities on multiple sites, to include offices, warehouses, workshops and yard areas.

Ensure safe working practices in relation to day-to-day duties including carrying out regular inspections.

Source and manage external contractors as required, liaise with contractors and ensure work is completed to a safe and satisfactory standard on time.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures e.g. health and safety, environmental, HR, food safety to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely.

Ensure all records, compliance documents and PM sheets are accurately maintained and returned in a timely manner to ensure all records are ‘live’ and there is full traceability as well as being ready for inspection.
- Oversee the successful delivery and management of all outsourced contracts.

Proven experience in grounds and buildings maintenance or relevant position with 4 years’ experience

Knowledge of Health & Safety rules, regulations, legislation and best practice

Experience with technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

Experience selecting & managing 3rd party contractors and maintenance contracts

Full UK driving licence
