Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in the East Midlands region. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and growing a realistic pipeline of business through the provision of automation and robotic solution sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending customer sites to nurture relationships and understand their current and future requirements, identifying and recommending enhancements, modifications or upgrades that will benefit their business and prove commercially advantageous to all.
  • Creating and maintaining sales analysis sheets for each enquiry received.
  • Reporting enquiry results in the weekly sales meeting and providing visibility of future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
  • Setting up sales handover meetings to transfer details of the order over to the technical team and supporting the project team and the customer throughout the project life cycle when required.

Requirements:

  • Previous technical sales and account management experience gained through working with automation systems, ideally within the automotive sector, although other engineering and manufacturing disciplines will be considered.
  • Qualification to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering or business-related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and flexibility to travel both within the UK and overseas as required.
