We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in the East Midlands region. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and growing a realistic pipeline of business through the provision of automation and robotic solution sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer sites to nurture relationships and understand their current and future requirements, identifying and recommending enhancements, modifications or upgrades that will benefit their business and prove commercially advantageous.
- Create and maintain Sales Analysis Sheets for each enquiry received.
- Report enquiry results in the weekly Sales Meeting and provide visibility of future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
- Set up Sales Handover meetings to transfer details of the order over to the technical team and support the project team and the Customer throughout the project life cycle when required.
Requirements:
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual with a high level of commercial acumen, excellent communication skills at all levels, and flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas as required. Previous technical sales and account management experience gained through working with automation systems, ideally within the automotive sector, is highly desirable. A relevant engineering or business-related qualification to at least HND level or above is also required.
