About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Hestia Charity. As a key member of our Modern Slavery Response Team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert support and guidance to advocates working with service users experiencing mental health crisis or complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist expert advice and solutions to advocates working with service users who are in crisis linked to complex needs or dual diagnoses.
- Coach and mentor advocates when dealing with mental health incidents in liaising with crisis teams and other Mental Health acute services.
- Attend multi-agency meetings to support Service Users and act as a key point of contact for the service for complex needs.
- Work with advocates and managers to design tailored intervention programs for service users with complex needs and implement them in the service.
- Support advocates to identify service user needs and mitigate risk, which may include some outreach visits in the community on complex cases.
- Hold clinics during office hours to advise around complex cases.
- Work collaboratively with Managers and their teams to identify gaps and deliver bespoke training to advocates and service users around complex needs.
- Be a strategic lead and mentor within the MSRS team around embedding person-centered practices and trauma-informed approaches.
- Keep abreast of any legislation and upskill the team in related areas.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who has practical knowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of mental health conditions, including crisis management, communication, and support. You should also have experience of staff coaching and delivering training, as well as working with individuals who have experienced mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues.
