Palliative Care Specialist

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks a highly skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our team in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. As a Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex palliative needs.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical support to our Palliative Care team, working closely with specialist nurses in Acute hospitals, community settings, and hospices. You will also provide supervision and educational activities to medical students, junior doctors, and multidisciplinary teams.
You will be an integral part of our team, collaborating on-site with Cornwall Hospice Care to enhance the integration of services and continuity of care for patients. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the management of patients with specialist palliative care needs.

Essential Requirements:- A Medical Degree
- A relevant Higher Degree or additional clinical qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in assessing and treating patients with palliative care needs in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
- An ability to appraise own performance and excellent written and oral communication skills
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
