We are looking for an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care and management for infants and their families admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Clinical Responsibilities
The main duties of this role will include:
- Providing expert clinical care and management for infants and their families admitted to the NICU.
- Working independently on the tier 1 rota, under the supervision of the middle grade neonatal doctor and neonatal consultants.
- Carrying out assessments of infants on the postnatal wards, including first medical examinations. Performing formal discharge examinations and determining whether a baby is fit for discharge.
- Attending high-risk deliveries for the resuscitation, stabilisation and safe transfer of newborn infants.
Salary Information
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in neonatal intensive care.
- Experience of working in a similar role or in a relevant speciality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
