At Ellipsis Entertainment Ltd., we are currently seeking a skilled Scenic Assistant to join our team at The Gunpowder Plot: The Immersive Experience.

Overview:

The Scenic Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of our cutting-edge experience, performing planned and reactive maintenance on props, scenery, painting, and all aspects of scenic throughout the experience.

Salary and Benefits:

This part-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of £14 per hour, with a flexible working schedule of up to 20 hours per week.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimum running of our show from a scenic perspective, including completing site walks, maintaining props, performing scenic fixes, supporting with H&S of each set, sourcing props and materials, and working alongside the Wardrobe and Technical Team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a self-motivated, focused individual who can work well as a solo worker and demonstrate knowledge in scenic disciplines, including scenic painting, prop making, prop sourcing, set dressing, scenic maintenance, basic carpentry, and historical research.

Experience and Attributes:

A minimum of one year's experience in a scenic position or relevant training is preferred. Essential attributes include carpentry skills, colour matching ability, prop sourcing/fixing expertise, a clear understanding of health & safety, and excellent communication skills.
