About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Stage Production and Maintenance Lead to join our team at the Association of British Theatre Technicians.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our productions and events. As a Stage Production and Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of scenery and props, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing support to the technical and building teams.

Salary: £21.12 per hour plus overtime where applicable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist with all operations relating to the movement of scenery, lighting, sound, props, and wardrobe into and out of the theatre.
  • Ensure all visiting company health and safety documentation is in place and being adhered to in relation to the stage department.
  • Liaise with external contractors and supervise when required, ensuring safe working practices and company policies are adhered to at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years venue experience.
  • Proven experience in theatre stagecraft.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and venue licensing requirements.
