About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Play Development team as a Head of Dramaturgy and Creative Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new plays from concept to production, working closely with writers, directors, and other theatre makers. This role requires strong leadership skills, practical knowledge of the producing context, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Literary development and commissioning of new plays
  • Leading the dramaturgy team and overseeing script assessment
  • Collaborating with the Director of New Work and Head of Studio on strategic planning
  • Mentoring emerging playwrights and directors
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in play development and production
  • Strong leadership skills in artistic development
  • Knowledge of theatre ecology and producing context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
