Strategic Product Access Specialist

CIFF's SRHR Product Choices team leads an ambitious portfolio of market shaping and innovative financing strategies to improve access to sexual & reproductive health (SRH) commodities across low- and middle-income countries. We deploy a range of tools including volume guarantees, subsidies, licensing agreements, working capital loans, and performance-based financing to drive down prices, expand manufacturing capabilities, build supply chain resilience, and increase product choices.
Main Responsibilities- Deal Development: Support the deal development process by sourcing opportunities, structuring partnerships with suppliers, analysing deal impact and building networks and expertise in a range of products for modern contraception and safe abortion.
- Written Materials and Financial Models: Develop written materials, financial models and KPI dashboards, to support negotiation, programme implementation, and monitoring of CIFF investments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support engagement with senior external stakeholders across manufacturing companies for negotiations on key access terms and partners for project deliverables.
- Milestone Monitoring: Lead the monitoring of milestones and key deliverables against investment/grant objectives with senior external stakeholders.
- Strategy and Planning: Lead analysis of market dynamics and assess financial instruments for suitability to address SRHR access barriers.
- Market Research: Conduct market research, including evidence syntheses, trend identification, market segmentation, and competitive landscape.
- Quantitative Skills: Outstanding quantitative skills, including financial and statistical modelling, COGs analysis, forecasting, and data visualization.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills using a variety of presentation techniques—including excel analyses, slide decks, and memos.
- Leadership: Progressively responsible leadership roles in demanding and diverse organisations.
- CIFF SRHR Programme Managers, Directors and Executive Director
- CIFF Board members
- Other CIFF teams – particularly EME and functional teams (e.g. legal, HR, finance)
- Commercial Partners: Pharmaceutical and medical device companies, product development agencies, multi-national wholesalers/distributors
- Research and academic institutions active within sector specialism
- Contacts within global partners and stakeholders – e.g. PSI, Population Council, FHI360, Concept Foundation, etc.
- Contacts within international charities and NGOs – e.g. Gates Foundation, Save the Children, Oxfam et al
- Contacts within national governments and local NGO partners in priority geographies
- Annual leave - 25 days per annum. Increasing by 1 day after each year of service to a maximum of 30 days.
