Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue from conferences, meetings, and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, clients, and competitor venues to stay informed on market trends and maximize opportunities.
- Attend and exhibit at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums to promote ICE and generate new business leads.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to attract customers through targeted market segmentation and effective sales campaigns.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly sales reports, including market segment comparison and revenue forecasts, to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Support and develop junior sales staff, providing mentoring and guidance to enhance their proactive sales skills and ensure sales targets are met.
- Liaise with the Events and Revenue Management teams to ensure smooth handover of sales bookings and maintain high standards of customer service throughout the client journey.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the events, hospitality, or conference sectors is essential.
- A proactive sales mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present professionally to clients and internal stakeholders.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, combined with the ability to understand and respond to client needs.
- A strong understanding of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) market and the ability to stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Background using Rendezvous, Fidelio, or Delphi diary systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel when required for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
- Competitive salary range: £45K-£47K + Commission.
