Payroll Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Payroll Team, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the payroll process, including processing payroll, managing payroll software, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide advice on payroll issues and compliance with HMRC regulations and legislation.
- Lead and manage the Payroll Team, ensuring they are up-to-date with current legislation and providing training and development opportunities.
- Ensure records are maintained in line with GDPR and Records Retention Policy.
- Reconcile Payroll Control accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure all payroll returns and payments to HMRC, NILGOSC, and other bodies are made in a timely fashion.
- Address and resolve staff queries in a timely manner, reflecting the high level of customer service expected from Payroll Staff.
- Develop, monitor, and implement quality processes within the Payroll Team.
- Provide statistical information in respect of payroll transactions to allow for identification and resolution of issues impacting on service.
Requirements
- Possess a CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent relevant (Level 3 or higher*) qualification and have at least three years' experience working within a Payroll environment.
- Or demonstrate a minimum of five years' working within a Payroll environment.
- Demonstrate experience of processing payroll using integrated payroll software systems, providing advice on payroll issues and compliance with HMRC regulation and legislation, and team management.
