Job Responsibilities
The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Lead Assistant Technical Officer – Stores and Distribution. As a key member of the Pharmacy Directorate, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Stores and Distribution team, ensuring efficient workflow and turnaround times.
Main Duties
- Develop and implement efficient ways of working to improve team productivity and performance.
- Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders within the Pharmacy Directorate to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Lead and participate in departmental team briefs to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Substantial experience of working in a stores or warehousing environment, with a strong understanding of stock control and inventory management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Medicines Act and the Human Medicines Regulations.
