Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Team as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer Band 3.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the supply of medicines, including liaising with wards and departments, and external customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to support the timely supply of medicines and processing of orders
- Coordinating and supporting the pharmacy support staff in the processing of ward orders and external stock requisitions for the delivery of medicines
- Providing leadership as part of the Band 3 team and coordinating and supporting the training of staff
- Liaising with clinical teams, ward staff, and external customers to resolve queries and ensure patients receive their medicines in a timely manner

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at grade C or above, and BTEC Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or working towards.
Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Experience
At least 1 year's experience in a similar role, with experience of using computer systems and applications, and ability to lead and supervise other members of the team.
Desirable
Previous experience of dealing with customers and difficult queries, and work experience in a hospital environment, stock control, or reception/telephone work.
