Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health conditions, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of mental health services within the organization.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement mental health services, including inpatient and community-based services, to meet the needs of patients and carers.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including audit and research, to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Requirements- Be medically qualified and registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a specialist in adult psychiatry.
- Have a strong track record of clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry.
- Be able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of mental health services.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
