Job Title: Academic Human Resources Officer

HRLife Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Human Resources Officer to join their team. As a key member of the HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR-related issues, including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievances.
  • Work closely with managers to upskill and coach them on having difficult conversations, educating them on processes and policies.
  • Prepare and analyze reports, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures in line with current legislation.
  • Coordinate and manage all long-term absence, participate in meetings, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the payroll process, making relevant changes to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Take ownership of all GDPR-related tasks and requests, adhering to legal requirements.
  • Manage all recruitment administration, ensuring a great candidate experience.
  • Embed new initiatives around wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.
  • Support the HR Manager to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Assist and support in strengthening the reward and recognition programmes, including reviewing the current benefit packages to ensure the business remains competitive.
  • Contribute and assist in business-focused projects; retention, mental health, employee engagement, reward and recognition.
  • Own the lifecycle administration - onboarding, inductions, starters and leavers, offboarding, etc.

Ideal Background:
  • Minimum CIPD L3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in dealing with ER cases such as Grievance/Disciplinary hearings.

This role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the office in North Surrey and 2 days at home.
